Can anyone recommend a good trekking tour for Machu Picchu
I'm thinking about going to Peru to go to Machu Picchu next year, woolrich arctic parka women sale woolrich jacka göteborg butik. I heard there are some amazing and delightful "long way around" treks that take you up and around to Machu Picchu the long distance with the Andes instead of going the direct and crowded tourist route. It is a multi-day trek where you need to sleep in tents along the way,デュベティカ 激安.
Has anyone taken a trek such as this,デュベティカ 店舗, and if so, how long was it,デュベティカ 青山, just how much made it happen cost (approx),デュベチカ 通販, and when you know the tour company/website that will also aid in my research and trip planning!
Don't book before you get there. The prices quoted by silent1mezzo are staggeringly expensive, compared to what you can get once you're actually in Peru. Most 5day tours should run for less than $200USD.
The first step is to get to Cusco. You are able to fly there (landing there is pretty spectacular) or else you can get an inexpensive bus from virtually elsewhere in the country. Many people experience the altitude in Cusco,デュベチカ 通販, so planning for a couple of days for acclimatisation and exploring is a good idea. There are several short walks to ruins close to the city that will help.
There are probably hundreds of tour operators in Cusco (this is a list of 66 that have an online presence,デュベティカ 取扱店, there are many more with out them) running hiking tours to Machu Picchu. Check around,ダウンジャケットレディース, or at the hotel/hostel for tour company recommendations as they're likely to change.
If you wish to do the Inca Trail, our recommendation is that you book well in advance (months),デュベチカ専売店, because this is so popular. Due to the popularity it is also very well trafficked and apparently not very charming or enjoyable like a hike (I did not get it done, making this just hearsay). Basically, I'd get ready for there to become whinging tourists to be about you.
There are many hiking alternatives to the Inca Trail which also end up at Machu Picchu,http://parajumperslongbear.webmium.com/. It may all be booked in and leave from Cusco below a week's notice.
Salkantay: 5days/4nights,ダウンジャケットduvetica, goes high up into the mountains (4600m) and past an unclimbed, snow-capped mountain called Salkantay. Some steep sections. Very spectacular.
Choquequirao: A longer trek (9 days) including cultural immersion in addition to spectacular scenery. Involves 2 days of trekking back from Choquequirao on a single path, so there are some repeated views.
Cordillera Huayhuash (leaves from Huaraz): A somewhat quiet route offering solitude and scenery,デュベティカダウンジャケット, takes 1 of 2 routes close to the Cordillera Blanca mountains.
Lares: 4days/3nights, Consumes the Quechuan lifestyle. Famous for the textile villages encountered on the way. Crosses two peaks and takes in some hot springs and lakes.
Jungle Treks: Many of these involve a brief walk,デュベティカ ダウンジャケット, some downhill on-road biking and a bus to Machu Picchu. Not recommended if you want hiking.
DIY hike: Reach Aguas Calientes by train and continue up to Machu Picchu either by bus or by hiking the the five-mile trail. If you achieve there at dawn because it opens, your views will not be spoiled through the throngs of tourists that arrive later within the day.
I ought to point out that most of these treks is going to be fully including include a tent and mat,ダウンジャケットレディース, food,デュベティカ専売店, and guide. Some provide a mule to transport your gear either completely,ダウンジャケットレディース, or part-way along with you. I found this from the spirit of hiking and chose to carry my very own pack.
You can befriend your guides by providing to carry a few of the food they are lugging for the group (they'll likely refuse,ダウンジャケットメンズ, but the gesture is appreciated)
Ask questions of the guide - I found they weren't very talkative concerning the history or scenery however when prompted had quite a bit of knowledge to talk about
Always walk about the high side of mules which means you do not get bumped off a mountain
It gets cold at night at those altitudes, bring a great sleeping bag
The sun's rays can be very intense throughout the day at altitude, bring sunscreen.
Day 3: The van picked us up from camp before 10am and we headed towards the stop to catch the following train to Aguas Caliente which is the closest town to Machu Picchu,モンクレール.
Just before reaching Ollantaytambo, I left nearly all my luggage in Cuzco. Since there were mules and horses to carry our stuffs, i was restricted to around 5Kg per person. The hike itself was pleasant with a regular backpack.
I will recommend spent a few days in Cuzco or other higher altitude area in Peru before you begin your hike. Some hikers who starts hiking within 1 or 2 days of landing in Lima tend to have altitude sickness about the hike which is not pleasant whatsoever. I already got my altitude sickness a few days before the hike in Puno and I was prepared to hike when I reached Cuzco,Køb Parajumpers Jakke outlet PJS Parajumpers jakker Udsalg Danmark 2013.
I'd be worried about an excursion operator that only charged $200 for the Inca Trail. A few of the cheap operators underpay their porters. Since their those doing all of the hard work,デュベチカ専売店, it's worth investing in some effort to find an operator that treats the porters well. We opted for SAS Travel in December of 2010. It was significantly off season therefore it rained a great deal however the bonus was that there weren't many people on the trail. Our group around 15 hikers (plus another dozen+ porters and guides) and one other group about the same size were really all we saw the whole time. Our guide was pretty good. As it happens he was an archaeology grad student so he'd good info about the Incans.
