| Montreal produces four-goal second period in downing Washington 4-1
WASHINGTON, Jan. 24 () -- Power play scores from Tomas Plekanec and Andrei Markov touched off a four-goal second period Thursday, lifting Montreal to a 4-1 win over Washington.The Canadiens kept the Capitals winless in the young season.
