| Alfonso Soriano gets game-winner as New York Yankees beat Tampa Bay

The Rays battled back for a tying run in the fifth on a solo shot by Wil Myers -- his second homer of the game.The score remained tied until the ninth when Brett Gardner drew a leadoff walk from Jake McGee (2-3) and went to second on a wild pitch.Derek Jeter was then intentionally walked and Robinson Cano fanned, but Soriano followed by singling to center, driving in Gardner with the game-winner as New York avoided a three-game sweep.Jeter smacked a solo homer on the first pitch he saw in his return to the lineup after missing much of July with a strained quadricep.
