SBA honors Lockheed Martin
WASHINGTON, June 26 () -- Lockheed Martin has been honored by the U.S. government for its use of small businesses as suppliers and sub-contractors.The award -- the 2013 Dwight D. Eisenhower Award for Excellence-Manufacturing -- was given by the U.S. Small Business Administration.Lockheed Martin had committed $6.4 billion to supplier partnerships to small business partnerships last year."This award is a validation of our continued commitment to small businesses and their importance in helping deliver value for our customers," said Dr. Ray O. Johnson, Lockheed Martin senior vice president and chief technology officer.
