| Economic reports calendar upended by partial government shutdown
WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 () -- A report on U.S. construction spending for August due for release Tuesday is just one victim of the partial government shutdown, the Commerce Department said.The department said its non-essential services game plan will include shutdowns of the Bureau of Census, which produces the monthly construction spending report as well as the factory orders report that is due on Thursday.The Bureau of Economic Analysis will be closed due to a lack of funding.
