TORONTO, July 24 () -- A two-out single in the ninth by Andre Ethier kept Los Angeles alive Wednesday and the Dodgers then produced a five-run 10th inning to defeat Toronto 8-3.Ethier finished off the big 10th frame with a two-RBI base hit after home runs by Mark Ellis and Yasiel Puig had accounted for three runs.The Dodgers captured their sixth in a row and have posted a 23-5 record since June 21.
