WASHINGTON, April 1 () -- Bryce Harper hit two home runs Monday in support of Stephen Strasburg,[url=http://www.moncleroutleto.co.uk]moncler uk[/url], who had a strong outing in Washington's 2-0 season-opening winning win over Miami.Strasburg (1-0) went seven innings allowing three hits and striking out three.Tyler Clippard pitched the eighth, walking one, and Rafael Soriano struck out two in a 1-2-3 ninth inning for the save as the Nationals were able to complete the game in a brisk 2 hours, 10 minutes.Washington managed just five hits off Miami pitching and only three of those came off Marlins' starter Ricky Nolasco (0-1),[url=http://www.pachasvip.com]abercrombie outlet[/url], who struck out five and walked two over six innings.However, Harper twice hit breaking balls from Nolasco for home runs. He hit a two-out home run in the first innings and led off the fourth with another shot into the right-field seats.At 20 years of age, Harper is the youngest player to hit two home runs on an Opening Day game. |
