Getty ImagesChristian Ponder left Thursday night's game against the Washington Redskins in the third quarter after landing hard on his shoulder diving for the endzone.Head coach Leslie Frazier said after the game that Ponder had suffered a dislocated left shoulder on the play that forced him from the game. He was replaced for the remainder of the game by Matt Cassel.Ponder had led the Vikings back from a 13-point deficit to within a yard of retaking the lead in the third quarter. Ponder scrambled to his left from the Washington 15-yard line and dove for the pylon before getting hit by cornerback DeAngelo Hall and fumbling out-of-bounds at the 1-yard line. Adrian Peterson scored on the ensuing play to give the Vikings the lead. Ponder was 17 of 21 for 174 yards with two touchdowns and an interception before exiting the game.Despite the injury,[url=http://www.arch-eyes.com/]cheap christian louboutin[/url], Ponder said he's planning to play next week against the Seattle Seahawks.My expectation is to be back next week, Ponder said. Last year in Seattle, Ponder had one of the worst performances of his career. He completed just 11 of 22 passes for 62 yards. He threw an interception and was sacked four times in posting a 37.3 passer rating. |
