| Hoboken middle schoolers urge residents to recyle

Shoes will be collected at City Hall, 94 Washington Street in Hoboken. "Recently we learned that over 300 million pairs of shoes are thrown in the trash each year,Roger vivier flats," said Tige Anderson, 12,roger vivier online, a student at Mustard Seed School. "Feeling this was very wasteful, we decided to do something about it." Anderson and his classmate Owen Possick, 11,giuseppe zanotti sneakers, are teaming up for Nike's Reuse-A-Shoe drive, collecting worn out athletic shoes that can be recycled and used to make running tracks,Roger vivier uk, playgrounds and playing fields. The shoes are ground up and turned into a material called "Nike grind" that's used for sports-friendly surfaces. Rather than ending up in a landfill, old sneakers will become new places to play. With the help of their school, Anderson and Possick are hoping to collect over 500 sneakers.
