BRIGHTEST DAY,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
Back on the replenished and rejuvinated Mars,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], J J finds himself at odds with D D another surviving Martian. Previously believing himself to become all of the his kind,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], J is torn between the joy of finding another green Martian and also the horror of finding out that she twisted and insane. Making matters worse is always that D like all Martians, is telepathic and may sense his inner turmoil. She realizes that there's a small a part of him that wants to share an existence together and tries to begin using these wishes against him and convince him to become the Martian Adam to her Eve and recreate a proverbial Garden of Eden on Mars.
Meanwhile, Deathstorm (the Black Lantern Firestorm) has returned in most his smartass glory and that he brought his own Black Lantern Corps with him. As Jason Rusch father and Professor Martin Stein are trapped inside Deathstorm,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Jason does his better to inspire Ronnie Raymond to reside up to his potential. Also,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Boston Brand and Dove start to place the pieces of the mystery of Earth new champion together and start a search for heroes and villains with light-based powers.
Finally the snowball is rolling and gaining in dimensions and velocity. Brightest Day continues to be a guessing game since the beginning however with each successive issue,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it falls more and more squarely within the range. This one continues the trend and for the first time ever, actually seems to make me care about Martian Manhunter. Don misunderstand me; I found him interesting in the past,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], mostly in the Justice League cartoon,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but for the first time I personally worry about the guy. By contrasting him with the evil Martian D D I felt like I understood J and saw the virtue that motivates him. That the pretty mean feat right there.
And D story was an intersting one as well. Imprisoned in a telepathic dampening cell deep underground on her misdeeds, she survived the death of Mars and experienced a loneliness not unlike the main one J has felt for such a long time; only D loneliness drove her completely insane. She nuts,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], she conniving and completely evil: an ideal contrast to Martian Manhunter heroism. Furthermore,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], she knows just how much her presence upsets J and just how torn he is and she uses it to her advantage. She creepy and evil and naturally,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], quite fascinating.

The only real fault of the issue is exactly the same fault that each issue has: it feels as though it not quite balanced. We obtain a lot of J J some Firestorm and virtually no Boston Brand. Despite being the lynchpin store the entire series together, the one page he received in the book felt a lot more like an afterthought. It isn that it doesn further the storyline; it will. I guess Among the finest much more of it. Still,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], this odd imbalance doesn seem as pronounced because it has in previous issues also it certainly doesn hinder the story.
All-in-all,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I pleased with this issue and very happy to see Brightest Day continue its forward momentum because the story progresses. We what,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], halfway with the story at this time? And also at this time,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I definitely inside it for the long term and can wait to see in which the story goes from here.
