Campgrounds on the Tennessee River in Alabama
The Tennessee River cuts through about 150 miles of northern Alabama through rural forested areas. The lakes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], combined with the rivers,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], create many recreation opportunities including fishing,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], boating, hiking and camping. Campgrounds of numerous kinds--from RV they resort to primitive camping areas--are spread along the lakes and Tennessee River in northern Alabama.
Wheeler Lake is among the lakes formed by the TVA and also the river runs with the lake. There are two creeks and also the Elk River that flow into the lake and river near the park. The park features nature trails round the lake and on the river. There is a course,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], tennis courts, day use areas,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], picnic shelters,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a marina,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], cabin rentals and a campground on the lake. The marina has a full-service restaurant and you can rent boats of numerous kinds at the park.
This state park has 116 campsites,http://www.ephedraonline.fora.pl/forum-testowe,1/self-help-part-4-spun4,250.html#262, 110 with full hookups. The websites are spread around three loops,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and 2 of those loops have waterfront camping. Each loop has a bathhouse. There are also primitive camping areas which have access to water and also the bathhouse.

Lake Guntersville State Park is a large camping and recreation resort on the Tennessee River in northeast Alabama,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. It is also on a single of the largest lakes--Guntersville--in their state.
The park includes a marina,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], full-service restaurant, boat rentals, meeting facilities,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], fishing tournaments and picnic areas.
The park has a lot more than 6,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],000 acres of woodlands, and has a championship golf course, beach complex, fishing areas,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], extensive hiking trails, day use areas and nature programs. In addition to camping areas, there are lakeside cottages along with a resort lodge.
Campgrounds are along the lake and in the pine forest with 396 campsites. The sites vary from full hookups to primitive and are for RV or tent camping. Several bathhouses are spread around the camping areas. Campsites have tables,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], grills, a country store along with a playground. There is also a nature center at the campground with displays of specimens from the park. Naturalists give programs regularly.

For something a little more urban about the Tennessee River,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], consider two parks within the city of Florence. Veterans Memorial Park offers 22 sites and McFarland Park has 60 sites,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], all with full hookups. Veterans Park has a memorial area plus an 18-hole disc golf course.
McFarland Park may be the largest campground and is located between the river and downtown. There are playgrounds, walking trials,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], marina restaurants, a lighthouse and a beach area. There's also a one-mile paved and lighted walking trail along the river. There's evidence of civilization in this area dating back to 8,000 years near the Muscle Shoals area.
