L’Wren Scott’s fashion business prospects ‘were encouraging,’ friends say The designer committed suicide in her Manhattan condominium Monday, but her company was doing fine, according to a statement by allies of the woman who was Mick Jagger's longtime girlfriend. They said reports of financial problems were ‘not only highly misleading and inaccurate but also extremely hurtful and disrespectful to the memory of L’Wren Scott.’

Allies of L’Wren Scott, the fashion designer and longtime lover of Mick Jagger, insisted Friday that her business was not tanking when she committed suicide.
Scott was “considering a restructure of her global business,” their statement said.
“Her business overall was only seven years old and although some areas of the business had not yet reached their potential, other parts of her business were proving successful,” it said. “The long-term prospects for the business were encouraging.”
To suggest otherwise, Scott’s in-house design team said in the statement, is “not only highly misleading and inaccurate but also extremely hurtful and disrespectful to the memory of L’Wren Scott.”
Team L’Wren spoke out as Jagger remained out of sight in Los Angeles with five of his seven children — and as funeral plans for the beloved 49-year-old fashionista were being finalized.
A 6-foot-3-inch former model, Scott did not leave a note when she hanged herself Monday in her Manhattan apartment while Sir Mick was in Australia with the Rolling Stones preparing for a tour.

But financial records in the United Kingdom — where LS Fashion Limited was incorporated — revealed it was nearly $6 million in debt.
Also,CHEAP CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN SHOES, Cathy Horyn, the former New York Times fashion critic and a close friend, stated in a tribute that Scott was planning to shutter her business Wednesday.
The statement from Scott’s “spokesperson” did not address Horyn’s remarks,Sandals 2014.
“LS Fashion Limited is fully able to meet the company's liabilities and pay all suppliers and customers,” the statement read. |
