Dwyane Wade retracts statement for compensation for NBA players in the Olympics,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
"We play the whole summer. I do think guys should be compensated. Just like I think college players should be compensated as well. Unfortunately,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it's not there. Dwyane Wade received a lot of criticism for this statement and rightfully so. Just a day later though,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the one-time NBA champion and gold medalist reversed his statement by saying the following about being compensated for playing in the Olympics for Team USA:
The debate over whether or not NBA players should be paid to participate in the Olympics will continue to rage on,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but it has created some interesting conversations about the topic with some solid points on both sides of the argument.
Once again,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Kobe Bryant will represent the United States this summer alongside the likes of Dwyane Wade,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], LeBron James,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant in an effort to win a second gold medal with Team USA. This time around the 2012 Olympics will be played in London,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], England.
Spain will be the United States toughest competition once again with Lakers forward Pau Gasol and brother Marc Gasol of the Memphis Grizzlies leading the way,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Rookie point guard Ricky Rubio will almost certainly miss the Olympic Games with a torn ACL he suffered earlier in the season against the Los Angeles Lakers,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
