'Soul Doctor' set to shutter Sunday
NEW YORK, Oct. 8 () -- The stage musical "Soul Doctor" is to close Sunday after playing 32 previews and 66 regular performances on Broadway, producers said.The show's Broadway opening followed a successful off-Broadway run last year and a sold-out engagement in Fort Lauderdale, Fla."Soul Doctor" began previews at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre July 17 and had its official opening Aug. 15.The musical is described in press notes as "an exhilarating musical journey through the triumphs and tribulations of a cultural phenomenon.
