A little girl who suffers from a complex form of diabetes has been granted her wish to become a princess thanks to a Wilmslow salon,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
Sophie Fieldhouse,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], four, who lives with congenital hyperinsulin,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], was taken from her home by limousine to children's salon Little Bigheads. She was met at the door by staff and taken inside where her dress,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], tiara,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], jewellery,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and shoes were waiting.
Sophie spent the morning having her hair styled and nails painted before stepping into her new clothes. Once her makeover was complete,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], she showed off her new look at a special lunch she helped make at Wilmslow's Pizza Express before getting back in the limousine with brother Joshua,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], nine,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], mum Amanda and dad Lee to go home.
Sophie enjoyed the once-in-a-lifetime experience after her mum applied to Rays of Sunshine to help make her wish come true.
The charity which grants wishes for seriously ill children in the UK aged between three and 18 immediately got to work to create Sophie's dream day. Mum-of-three Amanda said: "Sophie loves all things pink and girly including dressing up,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], wearing makeup and pretending to be a princess.
"And her greatest wish is to be a Rapunzel princess for the day,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
"The day was just out of this world,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], unbelievable. They made her feel really special. We're very grateful to Rays of Sunshine - Sophie was completely spoilt.
"It really has been the boost we all needed." Sophie,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who lives with her family in Failsworth,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], was diagnosed with the disorder when she was 18 months old.
