Watercolor paintings are extremely fascinating but also very [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] tricky at the same time and for which it requires enormous expertise and understanding. Mixing of colors and water might look very simple, but believe me it is not that easy. It is actually very difficult to set a proportion of water with colors [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] for creating the beauty in that particular painting.
Water colors unlike Oil and acrylic [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] paints are transparent; they do not hide the mistakes very well. The paper is very delicate and water makes it further weaker.
Despite the fact that, brushes are the traditional medium for paintings, these days use [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] of other mediums such as scrapers, sponges, sprayers, and even [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] sticks are also popular. Use of different mediums depends upon the different techniques used in [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] paintings by people such as:-
Flat Wash Technique ? This is the most commonly used technique in watercolor paintings. Usually, this technique is used when outsized areas of the picture require to be covered. It has to be done evenly on the whole. Firstly, the areas of the painting should be moistening where you want a flat wash effect. You should have sufficient amount of water and color at the time you [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] are doing this. It will be complicated if you stop in between for any reason. Giving a gap will form a different effect on the picture. A large brush should be used for this technique and you must start from the top of the paper coming downwards horizontally.
Glazing Technique ? This is a technique in which you apply a very thin transparent color over a finished dry layer of color. [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] This technique blends the colors finely. Non-staining, transparent colors are needed for this technique. In this technique, a soft brush is to be used with not [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] much pressure.
Wet In Wet Technique - It is simply applying a wet wash down over a wet surface. In this technique just the painted paper has to be done wet evenly with the brush. A sponge could be used to absorb the excess water.
Dry Brush Technique ? In this technique the paper is totally dry. You then apply a reasonably dry color with very little water. This technique should only be used when you want to portray focus or texture in your painting.
Lifting Off Technique - This technique is used when the painter wants to remove color from a particular area of the panting. Usually, it is done by wetting the area which [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] is to be removed by a sponge and then soaking [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] the color with a tissue. Care is to be taken when this technique is applied as it can damage the painting.
Use of various techniques in a single painting is a good idea which makes the [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] painting look more interesting. But, on the other hand, over painting dulls the light reflecting back through the pigment.
Sinclair Stratton,a famous from San Diego. captivating portraits of wild and domestic life, created with watercolor in a deep-saturation technique that brings an unusual intensity to the medium.
