Education in Queensland has changed significantly over the past six years. Firstly, the Australian National Curriculum was implemented in 2011, so that all Australian States and Territories would teach the same thing in their school classroom. So, Education Queensland created and launched its 'C2C' (Curriculum to the Classroom) jordan pas cher project in order to provide resources to teachers to assist in implementing the newly developed National Curriculum. Alleviating any confusion or reducing 'information overload' headaches for many teachers due to its micro-management of classroom lessons was probably just a side-effect.
Now, lets consider hollister france Pre-school. Prior to 2007 it was a non-compulsory "play based" program that young children aged between 4-5 attended only five days a fortnight. Now six years on it, it is called 'Prep'; an official and compulsory five days a week level of schooling for the same age group, however the children must now turn 5 by the 30th of June that year to attend, thats six months older.
The idea behind barbour outlet a Preparatory year is to give all Queensland children the best possible start to school, and in my opinion it has done just that! It's woolrich bologna gone from the 'play based' environment where the main goal was for these children to know and recognise the alphabet and numbers from one to twenty to a more structured learning air jordan environment where most students finish the year with an ability to not only know and barbour uk recognise their alphabet (the name of each letter and its associated sound) but also write full sentences and count to 100!
I louboutin pas cher have three children; my oldest went through the old 'Pre-School' system back in 2005 and my barbour youngest two have been students in the peuterey outlet new Preparatory year, in 2008 and in 2011 and I believe that my youngest two children were significantly more air jordan pas cher prepared for grade one than my oldest son was. Thankfully Education in Queensland has evolved into what it is now today because Queensland was slowly being left behind.
Finally, another thing that has also changed in education is the growing amount of computer software and applications that nike air jordan pas cher teachers can use in delivering their lesson plan to students.
Only this morning did my son's grade two teacher provide her class with a word game on one of the classroom computers and it's not surprising that ALL the kids in the class loved it! It was amazing to see such enthusiasm and willingness to participate!
Used in the right way, I think it is applications or games like this that engage students because a combination of the three main learning styles are used (that is: visual, auditory or kinesthetic).
Not all people learn in the same way so shouldn't barbour paris a student, any student, be given the opportunity to learn in a way that best suits their learning style? Only then can they reach their full potential!
My point to this whole blog post is that education has changed for the better so as teachers and parents of the next generation why not support an evolving education system with software and applications that compliments progressive learning and provides students with more than one way to learn!
David P Johns has been working within the education sector for a number of years now, his tools, books and ideas are widely seen across the education space. He is currently building tools to help students learn the qld sight words. His writing and ideas can be found at
